I know the world of podcasts is vast, but I honestly spend about 95% of my podcast time listening to advice for small businesses. Which totally makes sense, considering I spend about 95% of my time thinking about how to run this small business better. But, when my work brain is tapped out, I always have a few backup episodes ready to go.
1) Being Boss
Emily + Kathleen were two of the first voices I found when I started running my business. They've kept me company on many long walks to my old print studio and tons of late work nights. They bring great insight and conversation to a ton of business tops, and they're also just really cool. Emily once talked about having geeky shirt days at her studio, so I feel like we could be great friends.
2) How Did This Get Made?
When I want to be truly entertained, HDTGM is my go to. It's exactly what it sounds like: making fun of the cheesiest best/worst movies, one scene at a time. The hosts Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas are hilarious, and they always have the best guests.
3) Raise Your Hand Say Yes with Tiffany Han
Another business podcast that gives me life is Raise Your Hand Say Yes. If I'm having a slow start to the day, listening to Tiffany while making breakfast or brewing coffee is the motivation I need. She's so encouraging and positive without being afraid to tell it like it is.
4) Elise Gets Crafty
I haven't found very many business podcasts focused on selling products, so I was thrilled with I found Elise's podcast. She's a sweetheart who I wish I had found way sooner because I could have saved myself a ton of trouble. She juggles family, business, and to do's in an admirable way and is someone I look up to for sure.
